Dec. 10th, 2018 10:12 pmI think it's highly unlikely that anyone's going to end up here in the new influx/re-influx, but I guess an introductory post does no harm. So here's the rundown on me & DW:
1) Virtually all my posts are locked; this is because I feel a strong need to keep my DW a safe space to vent, which means I need to keep it separate from my professional life and my day-to-day RL interactions. I am fairly open to giving access to new people, assuming you're not part of or close to my RL circle of acquaintance and seem to be reasonably trustworthy.
2) I basically don't do fandom any more, so probably I'm not that interesting. I used to be a devoted X-Phile, back when mammoths roamed the earth. Mostly I tell random stories about my odd life.
3) Life details: I am an Anglican priest in an impoverished inner-city parish. If you have seen the British series "Rev.", you pretty much know all about me. I am also a published poet and novelist. I have an adult daughter with autism. I am probably much more gloomy than I should be, but I do try to be amusing about my discontent.
4) I am making this sound like the worst DW journal ever. Arguably that is true.
5) Like Adam Smallbone, I am a very tiny priest-person. Today at a demonstration, a tall man tried to shift arms while holding up a protest sign, and hit me on the top of my head with his elbow.
